Book Description:

The Brazilian Association of Energy and Environmental Law (ABDEM) is a non-profit entity established in 2018, bringing together members from various fields related to the environment and energy, including lawyers, engineers, geographers, biologists, and other professionals specialized in the environment or with experience in the electric sector. ABDEM's objective is to unite these multidisciplinary professionals to deepen and promote the study of matters related to environmental law and energy law, on legal-regulatory bases, both nationally and internationally, as a way to ensure the exchange of ideas, mutual assistance, harmonization of conduct, and concentration of efforts to offer courses, seminars, lectures, publications, among other activities.

ABDEM has been consolidating and strengthening itself as an institution of excellence, with high-level events and publications of legal works that reveal the high caliber of ABDEM's interdisciplinary members, generating benefits for the academic and professional communities. It is from this perspective of excellence that we launch another work to address themes so valuable to society and national development. The book "Energy and Environment – Volume IV" reflects the competence of a body of high-ranking associates and ABDEM's commitment to disseminating quality knowledge to the population. We hope that the book "Energy and Environment – Volume IV" serves as a study source for all those seeking to understand the legal-environmental treatments of the energy sector.
