Alexandre Sion – Organizer and author of the article “ESG and the impact of carbon emissions on business”
Book Description:
This work aims to bring together essays from different perspectives on ESG, fostering discussions on how new trends have rekindled existing mechanisms or seeded new solutions in various management contexts. The presented works share the common intersection of the urgent need to promote greener governance, whether in the private sector or in the formulation (and strengthening) of public policies. The term ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance – invokes standards (often international) that serve stakeholders as reflections of the practices, priorities, and strategies of certain agents. Alongside a growing concern for these aspects and the increasingly desired traceability, ESG, currently in vogue, names, develops, and expands incentives for increasingly green management practices. Aspiring to a pragmatic and thus more accessible presentation of the theme, the book covers issues related to compliance, contracts, greenwashing, decarbonization, European community law initiatives, Latin American challenges, energy, circular economy, climate change mitigation, and different reinterpretations of techniques and strategies that lead to the prominence and incorporation of ESG standards at various levels (and realities) of governance.
