The soap opera of the regulatory framework for the mineral sector, which has been going on since the Lula government, is in its final chapters. The Minister of Mines and Energy, Edison Lobão, promised to present the bill within 15 days. One of the new features will be the bidding for “rare earths”, a group of 17 chemical elements used in the manufacture of various industrial components.
