The Supreme Federal Court - STF, through a decision by Minister Luiz Fux, has ordered the dismissal of Direct Action of Unconstitutionality - ADI 4218, filed by the Federal Public Ministry, ruling as unfounded the initial arguments that only formal law, and not Decree No. 6,640/2008, could regulate the reduction of the regulatory regime for the protection of cave formations, also pointing out provisions in the said decree that conflict with Article 225, paragraph 1, III, of the Federal Constitution.
